MAXL-CL-3000 Family Offers Time-to-Full-Performance Under Two Seconds
Physical Logic, which will exhibit in the Israeli Pavilion ((S5-220) at DSEI 2019 in London, 10-13 September, will introduce its next-generation inertial grade closed-loop micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) accelerometers, the MAXL-CL-3000 family, at the show.
The company’s technical advances deliver superior short- and long-term performance, compared with navigation-grade electromechanical quartz accelerometers. Physical Logic is the first company in the world to market a closed-loop MEMS accelerometer that rivals very high precision electromechanical quartz devices. These accelerometers offer highly accurate measurements at lower cost, as well as reduced weight and size.
North-finding and inertial navigation applications are enabled by a major improvement in warmup performance. This enables a time-to-full-performance period of less than two seconds, with typical bias drifts of <30µg during the first five hours of operation. In addition, a wide range of aerial missions can be integrated due to a reduction in noise specification limits to 30µg/√Hz.
“We are proud to be the first company to introduce to the navigation market […] a closed-loop MEMS accelerometer with bias-related parameters comparable to Tactical Grade, and scale factor-related parameters comparable to Navigation Grade electromechanical quartz accelerometers […] We met and surpassed our major technological targets ‒ upgrading all MAXL-CL-3030 bias-related parameters (30g sensing range closed loop MEMS accelerometer) as well as developing 2 new products ‒ 15g (MAXL-CL-3015) and 50g (MAXL-CL-3050) sensing range accelerometers ‒ for the MAXL-CL-3000 family,” commented company CEO, Katja Beyer.
