Bespoke training programmes
The training company KNO Solutions successfully trained a variety of military and police customers in the Middle East, cutting their training costs in half. Featuring for the first time at DSEI exhibition, the company is now looking to provide its reliable, cost effective training and support services further afield.
KNO Solutions is a UK-based military training company that is delivering bespoke training programmes to a range of international militaries and police forces. Founded in 2016 by former British Military Officers the company was developed to bridge the capability gap that they had identified between the procurement of military hardware and its operational output.
In a short time KNO built a strong portfolio of Middle Eastern military customers, for whom they are saving some 50% (on average) of their training costs. Training to competency in these disciplines requires experienced instructors which KNO sources from ex British military, however KNO also provides instructor training, enabling the customer to become self-sufficient in providing its own future training requirements.
A clear example of the importance of this training is “airdrop” on the C130J Super HERCULES. It is not just the pilots that require training, the personnel that put the load together also require training, as do those who put the load onto the aircraft. Parachutes must be packed, stored, serviced and maintained correctly. The drop zones need to be surveyed and personnel providing safety on the ground correctly briefed and supported. All these personnel must have the correct safety equipment, serviced regularly and a robust assurance system.
While many nations have traditionally returned to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to service and support equipment after purchase, KNO is now successfully deploying its personnel to service and maintain support equipment in-country, at a fraction of the cost.
KNO uses DSEI as a platform to brief the global defence, aerospace and security industry on its cost saving, time efficient training capabilities and help broaden its international footprint in key regions and customer communities.
