Naval Comms, Air-Traffic Control and C-UAS Among Germany Company’s Technology Highlights

Integrated naval C2 systems, software-defined radios, EW equipment and drone-detection solutions are among the extensive set of capabilities Rohde & Schwarz will be highlighting at DSA in Kuala Lumpur this week.

R&S’s equipment is widely used in the region, and particularly in Malaysia where its secure communications systems have been used by the armed forces for almost a quarter of a century. Kuala Lumpur International Airport recently signed up for the company’s Series5200 air-traffic control radio – part of R&S’s CERTIUM ATC communications suite – to provide ground-to-air VHF comms.

The company also has a long track record of involving local firms in production and configuring itself internationally to offer through-life support to its users wherever they are in the world. In a media release promoting its presence at the show, R&S points to its “significant investment in setting up local facilities and building up technology expertise in Malaysia.
