Portable Unit the Size of a Book
On 6 February DroneShield Ltd. launched a revolutionary compact, portable radar, RadarZero, which acts as a complement to its existing RadarOne product. A radar roughly the size of a paperback, RadarZero can act as a standalone unit or a module in the company’s DroneSentinel and DroneSentry multi-sensor systems.
The mobile radar detects drones at ranges up to 750m and sells for a fraction of the cost of larger, longer range conventional radars, the company states. With a size of approx. 20x16cm and a weight of 1.25kg, RadarZero is eminently suitable for tactical deployment, offering 120° coverage and 3D data acquisition. Three units can thus assure 360° coverage with no need for mechanical movement.
RadarZero was developed in direct response to end-user feedback regarding operational requirements and is fully commercialised and available for immediate procurement.
