Evaluation Expected to Lead to Further Procurement
DroneShield has received an order for its RadarZero portable C-UAS system from a customer it describes as “a significant European military.” The $100,000 order supports an evaluation and test process and is expected to lead to additional procurement, according to a 24 July statement.
RadarZero is a ruggedised metamaterials-based radar, weighing only 1.25kg and operating in a temperature range of -40/+75°C, enabling effective detection and tracking of suspicious drones. The solution to be submitted for customer evaluation will be powered by the company’s DroneShieldComplete C2 system, which enables an intuitive user interface and a rich reporting functionality of threats.
“The importance of this sale is several-fold. First, this is our first order from this European military. Secondly, this is the first sale of a radar-only fixed site system powered by DroneShieldComplete, demonstrating the modularity of our offering,” commented DroneShield CEO, Oleg Vornik.
The sale is subject to pending relevant export approvals.
