Six-Week Trial Evaluates Performance
DroneShield’s detect-and-defeat counter-UAS system, DroneSentry-X has been successfully demonstrated to the US Navy, according to a company statement. The device was deployed on the STILETTO maritime demonstration vessel for six weeks, completing a wide range of performance and evaluation metrics.
A high-performance detection and optional mitigation solution, DroneSentry-X demonstrated overall detection capability, detection and defeat ranges, on-the-move operation in various sea states, and effectiveness against drone swarms, involving a wide range of robotic and unmanned threats. The successful demonstration validates other recent DroneSentry-X evaluations by the US DoD, Department of Homeland Security, and both federal and state law enforcement agencies.
The system is adaptable for a wide range of operational environments and applications, including ground mobility operations, maritime security as well as fixed-site base requirements. It is powered by RFAI, DroneShield’s artificial intelligence/machine learning signal detection and classification engine. DroneSentry-X’s open architecture and interoperability allows users to easily integrate it with other solutions, to further enhance existing mission systems or counter-UAS capabilities.
CEO Oleg Vornik commented “DroneSentry-X provides an unmatched capability and spectrum awareness for moving and fixed site platforms against a wide range of threats.”
