John Hayward Brings Significant T&S Experience

HMI software and virtual maintenance trainer specialists DiSTI Corporation announced the appointment of John Hayward as the company new CEO on 6 July.

Hayward, an experienced leader in the training and simulation domain, will bring his unique experience and strong leadership to further DiSTI’s growth. He has held several senior leadership roles at TRU Simulation + Training, including Senior VP and General Manager. As one of TRU Simulation + Training’s executives responsible for new business development and operational execution for government solutions, he helped advance the company’s growth strategy by building and leading strong teams. Before TRU, he worked as Senior VP and General Manager of Textron Systems Support Solutions. In these roles and for much of his career, Hayward has been focused and successful in training pilots and vehicle operators for both commercial and military applications.

In his role as CEO, Hayward will directly oversee all the company’s business segments and direct its strategic growth. Responsibilities include maximizing the market presence of VE Studio, the organization’s virtual development training platform. DiSTI’s most recent significant wins include the US Army’s Family of Maintenance Trainers (FMT) prototype programme, as well as the C-RAM II Operator and Maintenance Trainer.
