DiSTI Announces GL Studio Version 6

Latest user interface development tool

The DiSTI Corporation, a world leader in user interface development software, announces GL Studio 6, a development toolkit used by premier companies in the aerospace, automotive, medical, and defence industries to produce high-performing 3D graphical user interfaces, at booth #2380. This latest version builds upon GL Studio’s industry leading capabilities by adding features to create complex functionality using drag-and-drop logic elements allowing users to create intricate user interfaces regardless of their skill level.

If you can use Adobe Photoshop you can use GL Studio 6,” DiSTI President Joe Swinski, said. “We listened to our customers and in the past two years we have dramatically improved how quick and easy it is for anyone to create user interface content.

The product team introduced two major components to the GL Studio Designer; a state machine and graphical logic elements. The state machine serves as the basis for visually creating the logic that drives the interface. By building a library of graphical logic elements, the state machine goes beyond simple graphical states and allows the user to connect object behaviors together in nearly unlimited ways without writing a line of code.

Software developers have always found GL Studio easy to use and they love the low-level access we provide allowing them to customize it to meet their needs,” DiSTI Product Manager Ben Baker, explained. “Our primary goal for this version was to make it so graphics artists and UI designers could create code-free behavioral connections without sacrificing that low-level access; no other tool out there does that.

GL Studio displays can be found in Jaguar Land Rover infotainment systems, F-16 jet fighter displays, Virgin Galactic spacecraft in the near future, and more. Companies chose GL Studio for its performance, reliability, and flexibility.
