Technology Transfer Starts in SDR Arena
Aselsan and Barzan Holdings signed a contract and four Letters of Intent (LoI) during the DIMDEX biennial maritime defence exhibition in Qatar, the companies announced on 25 March.
The contract covers the sale of communication systems and services ground platforms in service with the Qatari armed forces. The LoIs envision further collaboration between the companies, to facilitate potential future procurement of Aselsan solutions and services.
ASELSAN and Barzan Holdings on possible future agreements for procurement of ASELSAN solutions and services for the Qatari User Groups. Seeking to contribute directly to boosting the Emirate’s defence industry, Aselsan is to transfer knowledge technology for waveform development for software-defined radios (SDR) to the Qatari armed forces.
