On the SENSYS GEOMIL test field

In the following, the GEOMIL test field on the SENSYS company premises was probed with the MagDrone R1 attached to a DJI M350 RTK equipped with UgCS Skyhub and RTK on December 3, 2024 under light air conditions and at an outside temperature of around 5°C. The flight speed was 1.5m/s. The achieved flight height above ground was 0.15m for the magnetic sensor and 1.30m for the drone.

The data was evaluated with the MagDrone DataTool 03.04-04/00 and visualized with MAGNETO 03.01-19/00. The export parameters are 2Hz cut-off frequency for Low-Pass-Filter and moving median with 15m window length for compensation. After filtering a system noise of about 0.24nT could be achieved.

As a reference, the measurement is also compared with the magnetic measurement using the SENSYS MX V3 multi-channel system.

The results are impressive, as most of the objects were detected.
