New Direction After 26 Years of Strategic Development
DESMI, a Danish company that makes shock-rated pumps and helicopter refuelling systems for the defence market, among other sectors, has named Humphrey Lau as its new CEO, with effect from 1 December.
After 26 years as CEO, Henrik Sørensen is stepping down and handing over responsibility for day-to-day operations and strategic direction to Lau. The latter is well placed to address a planned future supported by acquisition, having considerable international experience and a global mindset. His experience includes appointments in China with Novo Nordisk and Grundfos, most recently serving in Europe as Grundfos’ Managing Director for Western Europe.
”It has been an amazing journey leading this company for more than 26 years, and I am proud to hand over the keys to Humphrey, as the company is in good shape and has considerable potential. I am looking forward to continuing this journey as a shareholder and member of the Board of Directors,” Sørensen stated.
“Over the years I have followed the impressive development of DESMI under the strong and competent leadership of Henrik Sørensen. Together with the high-performing global organisation and support from a very professional owner like [One Equity Partners], I am confident we can further develop and take DESMI to new heights,“ added Lau.
