Six Systems Plus Simulators and an Additional Carrier
Coming swiftly on the heels of the announcement earlier this week that the Netherlands has accepted its first LEGUAN bridge-layer (see https://monch.com/mpg/news/land/6531-netherlands-receives-first-kmw-leguans.html), Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) announced on 12 December that the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) has signed an agreement for the procurement of seven LEGUAN bridge-layer systems on the LEOPARD 2 chassis.
The order comprises a total of six LEGUAN systems, a comprehensive support package, training simulators and an additional carrier vehicle. Shipping of the bridge-layers will begin at the end of 2022.
This makes Denmark the ninth nation to adopt the powerful new LEGUAN-LEOPARD 2 generation solution, taking advantage of the system’s high performance and reliability and unique interoperability. In total, armies from 19 different countries use the LEGUAN bridge-layer system on a wide variety of mobility platforms.
