GDELS-Mowag Receives CHF46 Million Contract

The Danish MoD has awarded a CHF46 million (€42.6 million) contract to General Dynamics European Land Systems-Mowag (GDELS-Mowag) to deliver additional EAGLE 4×4 vehicles under the Armoured Patrol Vehicle (APV) programme, the company announced on 17 December.

This second order falls under the APV Framework Agreement signed in 2017 and calls for delivery of 56 Patrol variants of the EAGLE (to be delivered 2021-2022) and the initial prototype of the Reconnaissance Open variant.

Commenting that Denmark is the first nation to order the open-top version of the EAGLE 4×4, Giuseppe Chillari, Managing Director of GDELS-Mowag, commented “We look forward to delivering the new RECCE Open variant to Denmark for their tests and user trials and we are confident that Denmark will benefit from running a fleet of our vehicles, which is based on a state-of-the-art 4×4 wheeled family concept.”
