Armasuisse, the Swill Federal Office for Defence Procurement, has signed a contract with the Dutch company Defenture to deliver its Groundforce (GRF) LAUF20 vehicle, aimed to equip the Swiss Army with innovative, high-quality light tactical vehicles.
LAUF 20 is the name given to the demonstrator vehicle based on the GRF platform, delivered as a prototype to Switzerland in 2021.
As part of the contract, the company will hand over a batch of Defenture GRF configured according to the user requirements. The GRF baseline will be equipped with weapon systems, communication suites, optical systems, a mast solution and other subsystems. Defenture will deliver the complete system by integrating parts in collaboration with other companies like General Dynamics and Comrod. Besides subsystem integrations, the vehicles will also be delivered in a specific bodywork variant.
