39 Further Aircraft Yet to be Delivered
Dassault Aviation delivered Rafale B359 – an aircraft to the F3R standard – to the DGA (France’s defence procurement agency) on 29 December, marking the resumption of Rafale deliveries to the French armed forces after an interruption of four years for budgetary reasons.
The aircraft forms part of the order for 60 Tranche 4 aircraft placed in 2009, of which a further 27 are still to be delivered. Then an additional 12 aircraft will be manufactured to replace those sold to Greece. While domestic deliveries have been interrupted, production has been dedicated to fulfilling export orders. Tranche 5 orders are expected to be placed during the course of 2023.
