Czech Republic in Asia

Natalia Jakšíková, Sales and Marketing Manager at EVPU Defence, on increasing sales in Asia

MONCh: As this year is EVPU Defence’s first DSA, what are its strategic market plans for Malaysia and the region?

Natalia Jakšíková (NJ): To bring EVPU Defence’s unique expertise and products to the armed forces – police, para-military and military – throughout the region to help them fulfil their mission-led requirements for individual states’ national security, counter-insurgency and terror operations, illicit trafficking interdiction and Search And Rescue (SAR) operations. Currently, EVPU Defence has more than €7,5 million in net turnover in Asia, from the beginning of 2009 to the end of 2017; so, EVPU Defence is seeking to increase this turnover in double digit per cent in a fairly shorter time frame.

MONCh: What are EVPU Defence product differentiators when faced with local Asian EO competitors?

NJ: EVPU Defence offers its customers a fairly low price for increased quality and value that can only come from a company like EVPU Defence with nearly 20 years of leading-edge experience. Our products are essentially handmade and we fully-guarantee these top quality systems. EVPU Defence provides full, end-to-end customer service, offering complete project solutions according to customer requirements. This means EVPU Defence also delivers multi-sensor units, special software applications designed for monitoring systems drive and complex accessories. This makes our integration successful into new and existing platforms.

MONCh: Which EVPU Defence products are ideally suited for “ASEAN” member countries?

NJ: The EVPU product we are presenting here is the new EVPU pan and tilt positioner MSR- W, which allows the transfer of liquid medium to optical devices, whether for cooling or lens showering. Regardless of the setting, the system must be impervious to these and other weather or climatic conditions. Considering EVPU’s technological pedigree and enterprise lineage, its research and development mission remains focused on functionality in extreme conditions and overall ruggedness. This ensures EVPU products’ longevity. For more information on MSR-W, please see here

MONCh: How will EVPU Defence plan to operate here in the future?

NJ: In addition to fixing meetings at regional expositions, such as DSA 2018, EVPU Defence is thinking to open an office in Kuala Lumpur and looking for regional partners. This makes EVPU Defence a vested stakeholder in the region that is committed beyond just participating in trade shows. It demonstrates EVPU Defence commitment to its potential and existing customers, allowing them to make first-hand direct contact with their decision-makers and specifiers on a very cooperative professional level.

MONCh: Looking ahead to Eurosatory, what is in the new product pipeline for EVPU Defence?

NJ: We are going to show many new products; a couple of new pan tilts – absolutely new one just great for those who are looking for a small pan/tilt with payload up to 35 kg and with gyro-stabilisation!  Also we will present a few types of multi-sensor, electro-optical  containers. And we will show the  P/T MSR – W that I mentioned before working with cameras. We are expecting a great presentation.
