Nexter to Supply 62 Vehicles in Three Variants
Nexter and the Czech Ministry of Defence (MoD) signed a contract on 11 July formalising the acquisition by the Czech Republic of 62 TITUS armoured vehicles.
The TITUS is the latest generation of 6×6 armoured vehicles conceived by Nexter to answer the support and transport vehicles needs of modern armies, offering high levels of protection, mobility and versatility, as well as controlled ownership costs. The vehicles’ mobility chain was developed in cooperation with Czech supplier Tatra Trucks and a homeland security kit is available, answering more specifically the needs of police and security forces.
The Czech order covers delivery of three TITUS variants: six command post (CP), 36 signals networking and 20 artillery fire coordination vehicles. Nexter’s Czech partner, ELDIS, a CSG Group company, holds the main contract with the MoD and will organize license production. This order solidifies a successful European industrial cooperation, combining the know-how of all partners in a balanced fashion.
