Mitigate Skill Gaps and Human Error
CySource is joining the Israeli Cyber Companies Consortium (IC3) led by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), the company announced on 30 June.
The company’s Continuous Automated Skills Patch (CASP) platform for workforce cyber training and capability evaluation, answers the requirements of various security agencies and is intended to assist in developing the necessary cyber-related skills within a range of organisations. These include secure development, cloud security, management training and more, in a variety of languages, and with an advanced management and reporting interface. The platform allows skills to be evaluated in real time, based on individual operator roles, and takes findings into account automatically – the platform’s machine-learning engine enables future training needs to be foreseen, whether at the team, department, or company level. IAI and CySource are cooperating successfully in national exercises which seamlessly integrate IAI’s TAME Range cyber trainer with CASP. Combining these technologies allows for a spectrum of exercises for a wide range of users, together with specialised training exercises for specific communities of users where appropriate.
The IC3 was established in 2016, under the aegis of Israel’s Ministry of the Economy, to provide an overarching solution by Israeli cyber companies to the needs of different national-level cyber agencies. Companies in the consortium include Check Point, Verint, Bynet, ECI, CyberX, Checkmarx, CyberArk, BGProtect, XM Cyber, Mellanox Technologies, and IAI, thereby offering a combination of the leading Israeli cyber technologies to customers worldwide. Within the framework of the consortium, a National Cyber Centre was established in a Latin American nation, part of the acquisition of a strategic national-level cyber-defence programme, which included risk evaluation surveys and setting up an advanced monitoring and defence centre against cyber attack.
Amir Bar-El, CEO of CySource, said: “We are pleased to be joining the Israeli Cyber Companies Consortium and work with IAI-ELTA’s Cyber Academy. This is a significant milestone in providing wide-ranging technological solutions with added value for programs for the real-time evaluation and training of cyber capabilities for personnel in governmental and other organisations. Since some 80% of cyber incidents are thought to be due to human error, we developed the CASP platform to provide organisations with the ability to identify gaps in personnel skills, mitigating these through focused interventions to make maximum use of the time and cost of training workers. CySource is working with the Consortium members to provide advanced cyber training to governmental and security agencies around the world.”
Esti Peshin, VP/GM IAI’s Cyber Division, added: “Cyber technology is an important and growing part of IAI’s activities, enabling us to supply solutions to a wide range of cyber threats, whether at the national level, for smart transportation, or the marine or aviation sectors. We welcome CySource, a leading Israeli cyber company with unique solutions, to the Israeli Cyber Consortium, which is helping position Israel at the forefront of the world’s cyber activities, and we look forward to its participation in the consortium and collaboration with IAI.”
