Cyberbit and Ni Cybersecurity Open Training Centre in Tokyo

RANGE Platform will Train Cyber Defenders for 2020 Olympics

On 15 June, Cyberbit, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems, and Ni Cybersecurity inaugurated a new Cyber RANGE training facility in Toranomon, Tokyo. The centre will facilitate hands-on simulated training for cybersecurity professionals and help address the growing shortage in cybersecurity experts, which is being keenly felt in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which experts believe will see a sharp increase in the scale and intensity of cyber attacks.

The Cyberbit RANGE platform at the heart of the training facility is the most widely deployed cybersecurity training and simulation platform, currently powering training centres in North America, Asia and Europe. It provides a rich, updated catalogue of simulated attack scenarios, including ransomware and enables students to rehearse their responses to attacks in real-life settings, using security tools and network architectures that reflect their actual work environments.

Japan is expected to train tens of thousands of new cybersecurity experts while improving the skills of existing ones, all within a very short timeframe,” Cyberbit CEO, Adi Dar, commented.
