Companies Will Partner to deploy SCADAShield
On 16 November, Elbit Systems announced that Samsung SDS, a leading global provider of IT services, has selected Elbit subsidiary Cyberbit to protect its customers against attacks on industrial control systems, which are prime targets for cyber attacks.
These networks often use legacy technologies that challenge conventional security solutions. Their unique communication protocols and frequent lack of security awareness among operational network managers are also factors contributing to a serious state of vulnerability. Samsung and Cyberbit will collaborate to deploy SCADASheild, a non-intrusive deep-packet inspection system optimised for ICS/SCADA networks, in the Korean market. This will minimise continuity risks and improve network visibility to managers as well as protecting them against cyber attacks.
The result, the companies believe, will be a significant step towards enhancing resilience and competitiveness for core infrastructure in manufacturing control.
