Solution Accelerates Post-Mission Analysis of ISR Data
On 25 May, Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions revealed the FSM-C2X Download Station, an innovative solution for rapid download of ISR data to ground stations for post-mission analysis.
Designed for use with the company’s Compact Network Storage 4-slot (CNS4) data recorder, the FSM-C2X supports up to four 2TB solid state flash storage modules, enabling operators to rapidly transfer up to 8TB of data via standard USB connections. Easily and swiftly removed using tool-less wedge locks, the modules help to reduce time between mission deployments – a critical advantage given current operational tasking challenges faced by most UAS operators.
The CNS4 data recorder is a convection-cooled, high-speed Serial FPDP data recorder, capable of absorbing 8 channels of 200MB/s Serial FPDP streams for a total of 1.6GB/s – an ideal solution for recording critical sensor data without stopping or pausing. The FSM-C2X Download Station is designed for use with the CNS4 recorder when configured with four FSM-C2X Flash Storage Modules, which plug into the CNS4 recorder backplane and are housed behind an easy-to-open access door.
