Euronaval 2018: Controp Launches iSea-25HD

Expanding its maritime surveillance capabilities

Controp Precision Technologies Ltd., a company specialising in the field of electro-optics (EO) and infra red (IR) defence and homeland security solutions, expands its maritime surveillance capabilities, by launching the iSea-25HD at Euronaval on booth E74.

iSea-25HD was specially designed for maritime vessels and remote weapon stations (RWS), and features a cutting-edge stabilisation system that enables a stable, continuous and uninterrupted line-of-sight (LOS), ensuring a very clear picture, even in rough waters.

The system is capable of interfacing with RWS, e.g. Rafael’s TYPHOON RWS, whereby maintaining boresight in conditions of shocks and vibrations. iSea-25HD incorporates digital and mechanical compensatory mechanisms that Controp developed to significantly contribute to the shooting precision. The robust system withstands even the harshest environmental conditions including fog, salinity, and moisture. Easily interfaced with other onboard systems, it offers a full solution for naval and maritime operations.

The low weight, gyro-stabilised system provides maximum range surveillance using highly sensitive sensors, including a high-performance thermal imaging camera using 3-5µ IR detector with a continuous zoom lens, a high sensitivity colour day camera, and an eye safe laser range finder.

Among its additional features are advanced image processing and video enhancement algorithms. Applications include search and rescue, border surveillance, law enforcement, EEZ protection, counter piracy and special operations.

Advanced operational capabilities are enabled by the stabilised line-of-sight delivered by our innovative system, ensuring tactical superiority even in the harshest and most unforgiving environmental conditions,” Ra’anan Shelach, Controp’s Vice President Marketing, explains to MONCh. “Real-time video image stability in the face of the most challenging conditions is critical for our naval customers.”
