Modified COTS Products to Provide Rapidly Deployable Communications
Comtech Systems, part of Comtech’s Government Solutions segment, has won a contract from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) for deployable troposcatter systems for the Swedish Armed Forces. Contract value is stated to be $2.2 million.

Following a multi-year evaluation of Comtech COTS troposcatter products, which included rigorous field testing in Arctic conditions, the company tailored its MTTS terminal to meet customer requirements for rapidly deployable military communications systems. The MTTS “is the most advanced integrated troposcatter system available in the world,” the company claims.
