First Three of 12 US-Donated Aircraft

Colombia’s National Police has received the first three (of 12) UH-60A+ Black Hawk helicopters donated by the US to assist in counter-narcotics operations.

Following the April announcement of the donation, the first three aircraft join the agency’s existing fleet of nine UH-60L and 10 UH-60A. Having been originally delivered to the Afghan Air Force, which fled that nation on the reappearance of the Taliban, the aircraft arrived in Bogotá, on board a USAF C-17, still in Afghan colours.
