Three H Models Will Replace C-130Bs
The Colombian Air Force has received the first of three C-130H HERCULES airlifters it ordered from US government surplus stocks in 2018.
The aircraft (FAC 1016) is already serving with Air Transport Command (CATAM) in Bogotá and will shortly be sent to Air Maintenance Command (CAMAN) at Madrid Air Base, where it will undergo exhaustive maintenance prior to being declared operational. Featuring chaff and flare dispensers, FAC1016 is the first of the Air Force’s HERCULES fleet to be fitted with such devices.
The H models will replace the C-130Bs which the Air Force has now retired.
