Technicae to Modernise 180 APCs
Technicae Projetos e Servios Automotivos of Brazil is to repair and modernise a total of 180 armoured vehicles for the Colombian Army. Imbel, a Brazilian state-owned organisation, will provide administrative assistance.
Work will be carried out, in collaboration with the customer, on M113 Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) and EE-11 URUTU 6×6 APCs. Upgrades to the latter vehicle will include a new 200hp Mercedes-Benz OM366A engine and an Allison SP3000 automatic transmission.
