Programme Now Complete with 10 Helicopters Modified
The Air Maintenance Command (CAMAN) of the Colombian Air Force has now delivered the 10th modernised HUEY 2 helicopter. This brings to a close the programme, begun in 2012, to modernise part of the service’s fleet of Bell UH-1H with kits provided by Bell Helicopter.
The work conducted by CAMAN consisted of an overhaul plus reinforcement of the structure, a new engine and transmission and new avionics, including both primary and multifunction displays.
