Genesys IDU-680 Avionics Suite at Heart of Upgrade

Avionics Services, in Brazil, has completed integration of new digital avionics in the first PC-7 TURBO TRAINER belonging to VT-1 Training Squadron of the Chilean Navy Naval Aviation School.

Chile’s Naval Aviation Command awarded Avionics Services the avionics modernisation programme for the PC-7 fleet last year. The programme consists of replacing the current analogue avionics fit with a Genesys Aerosystems IDU-680 suite, which will improve situational awareness and operational safety for trainees and instructors. Six aircraft are to be modernised in total, with work expected to be completed in 2021.
