ENGIEAxima strengthens its maritime position with the acquisition of NOSKE-KAESER
Following the signing of the purchase agreement on 7 November 2017 and the approval of the German Federal Cartel Office on 27 November 2017, the takeover of NOSKE-KAESER Maritime Solutions by the ENGIE Group has now also been formally completed. The Hamburg head office and its subsidiaries in Australia, India, Malaysia and Turkey are now part of ENGIE Axima, headquartered in Paris, which is responsible for the Group’s global shipping and oil & gas activities.
Based in Hamburg, NOSKE-KAESER is a worldwide company and supplier of turnkey solutions (HVAC, refrigeration, firefighting) for the Marine, Navy and Oil & Gas market. Globally renowned for its high-quality products and engineering services, the company employs 200 people including 160 in Germany, and had a €40 million turnover in 2016.
“NOSKE KAESER’s acquisition allows ENGIE Axima to consolidate its position on the Cruise & Ferries, Oil & Gas and Navy market. Thanks to this acquisition, we will also be able to enter new markets such as the offshore wind energy and spread our world coverage in installations as well as in services with two strong bases in France and in Germany,” Philippe Le Berre, Managing Director of the Marine and Oil & Gas Department of ENGIE Axima, said.
