Special Operation Forces insulated garments
The ISG (Insulated Shell Garment) jacket was designed for and with the German KSK (Kommando Spezialkräfte). It is not brand new, but Carinthia is now introducing the ISG 2.0. ISG stands for “Insulated Shell Garment”. It is a multifunctional jacket which emerged from the military Special Operation Forces (SOF) area. The merger of softshell outer layer with the G-LOFT insulation makes the ISG jacket a real “hybrid”. The excellent heat storage capacity of the G-LOFT fiber and the water-repellent, windproof and breathable properties of the 3-layer softshell outer layer gives this jacket its distinctive character. It also includes a W.L. Gore & Associates windstopper laminate. Other features are: detachable & stowable hood (with elastic drawstrings adjustable in 2 directions), width adjustable collar with thermo fleece, water-repellent YKK zippers, 2-way front zipper with wind flap and chin guard, ventilation system (access openings with zipper at the side seam), two large outer pockets with micro fleece, pre-shaped sleeves, two upper arm pockets with Velcro for attaching badges and an internal one-handed adjustable elastic drawstring at hem.
The ISG is now also available in a special cut for female operators: ISG LJ (Lady Jacket). There the cut is different, adjusted to the female anatomy with smaller shoulders and a bigger waist.
Also new is the line of Ultra Shirt & Trousers. Light, warm and well tailored are the characteristics of our G-LOFT ULTRA series. Perfectly tailored it can be used as a flexible base or second layer between functional underwear and hardshell in winter outdoor activities. In the transition period, these lightweights turn into ideal companion. The easy-care product line with the new G-LOFT Ultra filling scores with a small pack size and insensitivity to moisture. It is a combination of G-LOFT and Techno-Stretch to guaranty a very high breathability and a rapid redrying.
