GAJT Tested on M777C1 Howitzer The Canadian Army has successfully tested NovaTel’s GPS Anti-Jam Technology (GAJT) in live fire exercises with the M777C1 155mm howitzer.
GAJT protects GPS-based navigation and precise timing receivers from intentional jamming or accidental interference. It is a null-forming antenna system that ensures the availability of satellite signals required to compute precise location and is a COTS product. The Canadian Army trials tested the system’s robust qualities under extremely demanding conditions. There is no need to replace GPS receivers already installed, as GAJT works with civil and military receivers, and is ready for M-Code.
The tests were conducted under the auspices of the Build in Canada Innovation Programme (BCIP), which seeks to bridge the pre-commercialisation gap by procuring and testing late stage innovative goods and services within federal government agencies prior to them being taken to market.
