Telefunken Racoms in Hammelburg
At the German Army’s 21st Day of the Infantry at the School of Infantry in Hammelburg, Telefunken Racoms showcases the XACT nv micro compact image intensified night vision system family consisting of the XACT nv32 micro night vision goggle (NVG) monocular (usable as a dual monocular) and the XACT nv33 micro NVG binocular.
According to sources in the German procurement office, the BAAINBw, over 4,000 of the very light XACT nv33 micro NVG binocular (450g) has been sold to the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), to be used service crossing with the army, navy, airforce and Joint Forces Command.
The binocular has an optical magnification of x1and a field of fiew of 40° with a focus range of 25 millimetres. The image intensifier tube, believed to be by Photonis, is autogated up to FOM 2,3000.
