$46 Million Contract for Delivery by Elbit Systems
As reported by MON on 8 February (Elbit Systems Wins Contracts in the Netherlands and Asia-Pacific – Mönch Verlagsgesellschaft mbH (monch.com)), Elbit Systems won a contract to supply the VBTP GUARANÍ 6×6 armoured vehicle to “an Asia-Pacific country.” MON can now confirm the recipient of these Brazilian vehicles to be the armed forces of the Philippines.
Valued at $46 million (€37.9 million), the contract makes Elbit Systems, as main contractor, responsible for acquiring the vehicles from Iveco, which manufactures them at its plant in Sete Lagoas, Brazil, and equipping them with turrets and subsystems, including electric drive and stabilisation, fire control, TORCH-XTM battle management systems, life support and E-LynX software-defined radios for gunner and commander.
