Initiative highlights technological solutions and expands connections in the defense sector

The Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Material Industries (ABIMDE), in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), is coordinating the Brazil Pavilion at Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2025, which will take place from September 9 to 12 in London, United Kingdom. The Brazil Pavilion is supported by Brazil’s Ministry of Defense (MD) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).

Brazil’s delegation includes representatives from the Ministry of Defense, ABIMDE, and defense companies, reinforcing the strategy to expand the international presence of the Brazilian Defense and Security Industrial Base (BIDS).

Members of ABIMDE’s Projects and Trade Promotion Division, Colonel Antônio Ribeiro and Miqueias Souza, will be responsible for coordinating the Brazil Pavilion and supporting exhibitors’ companies. “The Association’s role as organizer of the Brazil Pavilion and, especially, the participation of Brazilian companies in this event generate great expectations”, explained Ribeiro. “This is one of the leading trade shows on the global defense calendar and enables us to connect our exhibitors with key international stakeholders—whether suppliers, potential clients, or companies and countries interested in research and development partnerships.”

Representing the Ministry of Defense are the Secretary of Defense Products (SEPROD), Air Lieutenant Brigadier Heraldo Luiz Rodrigues, accompanied by the Head of the Commercial Promotion Division of the Secretariat, Arthur Diniz Marra.

This year’s exhibition will focus on the theme “Preparing the Force of the Future”, addressing challenges such as agile procurement, supply chain security, digital transformation, and human–machine integration.

Eleven companies will take part in the pavilion organized by ABIMDE: Atech; Berkana Tecnologia em Segurança; CSA – Centro de Serviços Aeronáuticos; CSD – Componentes e Sistemas de Defesa; Kryptus Segurança da Informação; M&K Assessoria, Exportadora e Importadora; Modirum Gespi; Protecta; Simtech Representações; Ocellott; and Vertical do Ponto.

In addition, three Brazilian companies will have their own stands at the fair: Condor Non-Lethal Technologies, CBC, and Taurus. According to Colonel Antônio Ribeiro, this coordinated presence strengthens the strategy of expanding the global reach of Brazilian companies.

Recognized as one of the world’s largest defense and security exhibitions, DSEI brings together more than 1,600 suppliers, including leading manufacturers and new exhibitors, and attracts government delegations, armed forces, and industry representatives from over 50 countries.

Brazil’s participation in recent years has been consolidating as part of the broader internationalization strategy of the Defense and Security Industrial Base (BIDS). For participating companies, the exhibition represents an opportunity to showcase high-value-added products, build technological partnerships, and explore new markets.

Brazil Defense
The Brazil Defense Project aims to boost exports by developing and implementing platforms for non-exporting and advanced intermediary companies, including market monitoring, trade fairs, and integrated commercial initiatives.

Jointly managed by ABIMDE and ApexBrasil, in cooperation with the Ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs, the project executes a short-term international promotion plan designed to attract qualified companies to the global market. Integrating businesses into the promotion plan and sector agenda in the medium and long term represents a strategic step to consolidate Brazil’s global presence and competitiveness.
