Visits by Brazilian officials strengthen trust and connections in the defense sector
The closing of DSEI 2025, held between September 9 and 12 in London, marked another step in consolidating Brazil’s presence in the international defense market. Over these four days, Espaço Brasil stood out as a meeting point for dialogue, technological exchange, and the establishment of commercial partnerships.
The Brazilian delegation was formed by the Secretary of Defense Products (SEPROD), Air Force Lieutenant General Heraldo Luiz Rodrigues, the Commander of the Brazilian Navy, Admiral Marcos Sampaio Olsen, and members of the Armed Forces high command.
“The result was extremely positive. All companies reported significant progress, with new partnerships established, agreements signed, and opportunities for equipment exchange. The fair allowed the Defense Industrial Base to continue expanding its productive and technological capacity,” said Lieutenant General Heraldo Luiz Rodrigues, highlighting SEPROD’s mission as a strategic bridge between government and industry.
Among the distinguished visitors, the Brazilian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Antonio de Aguiar Patriota, personally visited all eleven companies located in the Brazil Space: Atech, Berkana, CSA, CSD, Kryptus, M&K, Modirum Gespi, Protecta, Simtech, Ocellott, and Vertical do Ponto Ltda. His presence symbolizes a strategic articulation that promotes national interests, generates credibility, and facilitates the development of economic and commercial partnerships in that country.
“In the last two days of the fair, the objectives were fully achieved. There was an emphasis on seeking strategic partnerships, particularly in the field of technological innovation and cooperation in the various domains and spectrums of modern conflicts,” said Colonel Antonio Ribeiro, Director of the Projects and Trade Promotion Division at ABIMDE.
DSEI 2025 highlighted the technological growth of Brazilian companies and demonstrated the country’s ability to act as a reliable interlocutor. The participation of the Ambassador and military authorities highlighted the coordination between government and industry, consolidating models of action that increase the sector’s competitiveness.
Brazil’s participation, organized by ABIMDE in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), consolidated the country’s presence at one of the most critical events in the defense sector. The event enabled the exhibition of high-tech products, the establishment of strategic partnerships, and the opening of new commercial channels, thereby expanding the recognition of the Brazilian industry among governments and international actors.
