BMT Named as Supplier on UK MCF3 Contract

Objective Strategic Advice in Multiple Disciplines

BMT has been named a supplier on the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Management Consultancy Framework 3 (MCF3), the company announced on 26 October.

MCF3 is a multi-lot framework agreement, spanning four years, that gives British governmental and wider public sector customers access to high quality and cost-effective consultancy advice from a range of suppliers across nine specific lots. BMT was successful across the following three lots:

  • Lot 1 – Business: Provision of objective advice relating to strategy, structure, management or operations of an organisation;
  • Lot 3 – Complex and Transformation: Provision of objective advice on complex programmes or portfolios of work that may be multi-disciplinary and/or transformational;
  • Lot 9 – Environmental Sustainability and Socio-Economic Development: Provision of objective strategic advice in environmental and/or sustainability issues.

Gaining a place on MCF3 against strong competition will provide significant growth opportunities and help create strong alliances in the supply chain over the next several years. It will also support BMT’s delivery of complex consultancy and transformation projects and underpin the company’s efforts to ensure sustainable operations.

Richard Page, BMT Defence Head of Consulting and Advisory Services, stated “I see this as a major win for BMT. It will prove to be a game-changer for pursuing business aspirations. We recognise the growing urgency and importance of climate change, sustainability and wider socio-economic development, so this will help us play our part in making a positive contribution for the future.”

The CCS supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2020/21, the CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £2.04 billion (€2.42 billion), supporting world-class public services that offer best value.

The capabilities of the MCF3 agreement will allow BMT to provide the best service possible for its customers and industrial partners, and aid clients in delivering their objectives.

An example of BMT’s involvement in complex projects, the firm has joined with Harland & Wolff and Navantia in ‘Team Resolute’ to mount a bid for the Royal Navy’s Future Solid Support Ships. (Image via BMT)
