LCB: “first LCB controlled mass production ability worldwide“
ProLogium Technology is exhibiting the LCB (Lithium Ceramic Battery), the core technology of a new solid state lithium ceramic battery, at DSEI next week on N2-366, in what the company calls an exclusive, “the first LCB controlled mass production ability worldwide.”
This next generation battery mass was produced in 2013 and adapts solid-state electrolyte instead of liquid/jelly, without concerns of fire and explosion, even when the LCB is exposed to shooting/damaged/folded/cut/punched/penetrated and abnormally charged. “No leakage and no combustible certainly, EUCAR Hazard Level is 2~3, which is impossible for conventional battery,” the company says. “These characteristics benefit the performance for military gear with intrinsically safety.”
LCB can operate in -25°C to 85°C and discharge its ability of pressure tolerance from 0.0016psia to 711psia, which provides reliable power supply in desert heat or in the high or low pressure environment at any time. Furthermore, energy density of cell level is 555Wh/L, 220Wh/Kg will be enhanced significantly to 620~640Wh/L in 2018.
The company continues: “LCB can adopts various applications. BEV, wrist-worn device, handheld radio/GPS, rugged tablet, UGV/AGV, power vest and helmet, medical wearable ECG pad/temperature patch, power belt, tracking life jacket, etc. LCB support the tank to implementation of 12 hours continuously of silent and stealthy mission without to open the diesel engine. The flexibility of LCB makes the battery wearable, disperse the battery weight in the vest back and front. Instead of the bulky batteries need to carry, LCB frees soldiers’ hands and makes equipment easier to carry during missions and activities. LCB can achieve high energy and still keep ultra-safety, the high safety of LCB could be expected to replace lithium polymer battery contains safety risk.”
