Support for COOP and Polar Operations
Barrett Communications USA has secured several new contracts continuing the company’s work in supporting Continuity of Operations Programs (COOP) and new projects related to US national security. Barrett’s products and systems provide communications where traditional communications do not exist and where satellite or terrestrial coverage is compromised.
The contracts include requirements for the Barrett 4050 HF SDR transceivers in high- medium- and low-power base stations, mobile vehicle configurations and transportable cases for rapid deployment. Specific applications include deployment for polar security missions and energy independence requirements, with the equipment featuring built-in control for each operating agency’s existing advanced digital encryption devices.
“Working together with Royal Communications International, Inc., we have secured several new contracts with US government agencies for projects that are of importance to national security. We have made specific product enhancements to suit the US federal market over the last year, and we are seeing the results of our work. We are expecting requirements from these agencies to grow significantly, as we continue to support these agencies whenever and wherever they need us,” explained Barrett Communications’ CEO, Andrew Burt.
