One Year Effort Could Total $68.4 Million
BAE Systems has won a competitively bid depot maintenance availability contract from the US Navy for maintenance and modernisation of the USS ROOSEVELT, an ARLEIGH BURKE-class guided missile destroyer.
The company will dry-dock the vessel and complete the work at Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, Florisa/USA. The value of the contract is stated as $51.3 million but could rise to $68.4 million if all options are exercised. Work will commence in April and is scheduled to be complete a year later.
