BAE Systems Supports Estonian IFVs

Long-term Agreement Covers Modification, Maintenance and Spares

On 5 April, BAE Systems announced it has signed a contract with the Estonian Centre for Defence Investment (ECDI) to maintain and sustain the nation’s fleet of CV9035 Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFV).

Estonia – one of seven nations operating CV90s – acquired 44 vehicles from the Netherlands in 2014 and this long-term agreement covers configuration management for new IFV capabilities, maintenance, repairs and spare parts.

The armoured vehicle manoeuvring capability programme is one of the most important capability development projects of the last decade in Estonia, which will increase the combat capability of 9the0 Estonian Defence Forces remarkably,” Margus Padjus, Project Manager in the Procurement Department at ECDI, commented.
