Deep Learning Technology Aids Surveillance Operatives
Axis Communications has launched a range of three mini domes offering imagery in 2MP, 4MP and 8MP resolutions.
The Axis M3085-V, M3086-V and M3088-V feature wide dynamic range capability to assist in capturing detailed images in low light, and support deep-learning analytics which, the company says, “means they deliver valuable metadata facilitating fast, easy and efficient forensic search capabilities in live or recorded video.”
The company’s proprietary Axis Object Analytics software is installed on the devices. This means the devices “know what to detect so it’s possible to focus on objects of interest – all tailored to specific needs“. The devices are described as “cost-efficient” and the first two – the 2MP 3085 and 4MP 3086 – are available now, with the 8MP 3088 to follow later this year.
