Continued Support for P3K2 and C-130H Platforms
Airbus Australia Pacific announced at Avalon 2019 on 27 February that the company has extended existing contracts with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF).
The company will continue to support the NZDF’s P3K2 and C-130H HERCULES aircraft to the end of their service lives.
“The contract is split into two-year service blocks, with the first service block ending in June 2020,” commented Airbus Australia Pacific Managing Director, Andrew Mathewson. “The scope includes aircraft maintenance, engine and propeller maintenance and component maintenance, including logistics, procurement and engineering in support of the maintenance activities [….] I am delighted to add that maintenance on the SEASPRITE SH2G(i) is also included in these arrangements.”
He added that Airbus and the NZDF hve been actively working together for many years, with this contract beginning in 1998, and observed that the organisations enjoy an “open and robust working relationship.”
