200 Missiles Required to Replenish Inventory
The US State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to Australia of JAVELIN missiles. The estimated ‘not to exceed’ value of the potential order is $46 million (€39.3 million).
The Australian government has requested 200 FGM-148E JAVELINs and related equipment and technical/logistics support, in order to fill a “short-term shortfall” in its JAVELIN inventory and maintain an appropriate level of readiness. The supply of missiles will come from existing US Army stocks.
