Spotlight on the US Army
The annual AUSA Meeting and Exposition, organised by the Association Of The United States Army (AUSA) takes place 8-10 October at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington DC, USA, providing a platform to all attendees to connect with over 26,000 registrants, network with fellow industry leaders¸ gain knowledge and insight into the army’s needs, meet high-quality leads and international contact and showcase and launch new products.
AUSA is the largest land power exposition and professional development forum in North America. For more than 30 years, the power of this proven show provides military and industry with access to essential professional development, connection building, and the opportunity to touch and see a large concentration of machinery, tools and technologies up close on the show floor.
Visitors can expect a large variety of leading manufacturers, solution providers and suppliers. To help you discover new resources and gather important insights on the latest equipment, products and materials for your needs, MONCh (Mönch Online News Channel) and MILITARY TECHNOLOGY #10-2018 (available at the show or abavailable to order here) looks at representative US Army programmes which allow the service to continue to build readiness, counter threats posed by near-peer competitors, and address budgetary pressure caused by inadequate and unpredictable funding.
The “inside the Pentagon” label for the US Army’s approximate U$181.9 billion fiscal year 2019 budget is “Readiness Recovery”. Accordingly, programmes across the budget continue to migrate from primarily supporting the 17 years of ground combat in Iraq and Afghanistan to support of modernisation.
Just as significant, while some service programmes allow the restocking of ammunition and other materiel to balance current readiness, other funded efforts enable modernisation and the delivery of cutting-edge technologies in order to defeat anticipated future threats.
AUSA 2018 promises to be the largest land power exposition and professional development forum in all of North America. Thousands of members from military and industry will gather at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. 8-10 October to attend professional development workshops, network and view the latest technologies and tools designed to improve military performance.
