Streamlines Process and Saves 30-50% in Training Time
Israeli company Double Shoot will unveil a unique, innovative smartphone application for zeroing personal weapons at AUSA in Washington next week. The versatile application can be used for zeroing, scoring and comparison for a variety of assault rifles and machine guns.
The solution is a response to the current manual weapon zeroing process that dominates the world of small arms – a slow and expensive process that uses a great deal of ammunition while not necessarily delivering high degrees of accuracy. Double Shoot’s application streamlines the zeroing process, making it significantly more efficient and saving 30-50% in training time and ammunition expenditure. Optimising the entire process of shooter training, the application turns every shooting range into a smart shooting range.
Using data-based analysis within a restricted web interface to provide a wide spectrum of reports, the system (intended for both military and law enforcement agencies) will work even when the smartphone is in airplane mode and can be installed on both Android and IOS phones. The company has been awarded an Israeli patent for the system and has filed an international patent application.
“Designed for the military and law enforcement, this application – utilising today’s most advanced technologies – is smart and easy to use. It reduces the amount of time and ammunition needed to properly zero weapons by 30-50%, significantly lowering the costs and manpower required at shooting ranges, and immediately creating a smart shooting range out of any shooting range,” observed the company’s CEO, Oren Avman.
