AUSA 2018:Raydon to Display New Mission Reconfigurable Technology

Innovative Training Concept for US Army Synthetic Training Environment

Raydon Corporation is showcasing its new mission reconfigurable technology at AUSA 2018.  With an innovative, open standards technology base that will support any third-party application, Raydon will demonstrate an innovative training concept made for the Army’s Synthetic Training Environment (STE).

This technological innovation can support gunnery and manoeuvre training for more than 30 different vehicles.

Raydon presents an advanced Reconfigurable Vehicle Trainer (RVT) prototype, built on five portable base stations with interchangeable dashboards/panels, weapons and tactical peripherals.

Raydon’s version of RVT is fully integrated with the Bohemia Interactive Simulations VBS Blue image generator, a 3D planetary simulation that is cloud-enabled, geo-specific and with round-earth procedural rendering and editing.

It is designed for all applicable use cases from land, air and sea, including complex multichannel or demanding virtual reality integrations. VBS Blue’s uniquely versatile engine can provide new training capability for military and defence authorities to visualise and rehearse complex joint military operations anywhere in the world.
