Naval Tactical Data Management System (N-TDMS)
Atech, an Embraer Group company, will be focusing attention on its Naval Tactical Data Management System (N-TDMS) during the show.
Developed as a tactical mission system for the H225M/H-XBR SUPER COUGAR for the Brazilian Navy, N-TDMS manages the information gathered by the aircraft’s various sensors and compiles a tactical framework to assist the crew decision-making process. It also integrates sensor data with the AM39 EXOCET missile carried by the aircraft. The system forms part of the ARKHE Mission & Combat family of systems, designed by Atech in a modular, scalable fashion in order to provide an effective solution for onboard systems of Embraer’s defence platforms.
The H-XBR N-TDMS programme began in 2012 in a partnership between Airbus Defense and Space and Atech, in which the Brazilian company was co-responsible for development of the N-TDMS software, as well as development of the simulation models of sensors and weapons and for conducting system evaluation tests. The company also designed, developed and assembled the tactical console installed on the aircraft. Programme compliance required Atech to create a dedicated laboratory for the serial production phase.
Atech Will continue to provide technical support and maintenance for the N-TDMS after delivery of the Brazilian Navy’s aircraft has been completed. “With the completed N-TDMS, Atech consolidates its position as an experienced supplier in the development of tactical systems shipped to the Brazilian Armed Forces,” commented Atech’s Business Director, Giacomo Staniscia.
