The agreement represents a strategic milestone for the company, which continues to stay at the forefront of technology and close to its market
Atech, an Embraer Group company, and the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA), in collaboration with the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (DCTA), signed on June 9 a Technical Cooperation Agreement aimed at advancing research and development in the field of Electronic Warfare (EW).
The established partnership focuses on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for signal and threat classification, employing de-interleaving techniques to strengthen analysis and response capabilities in defense scenarios.
The initiative is also aligned with Atech’s goal of fostering collaboration with Scientific, Technological, and Innovation Institutions (ICTs) of the Armed Forces.
The project paves the way for expanded research funding through development agencies, with the goal of advancing solutions in the field of Electronic Warfare.
“The partnership with ITA-DCTA marks an important step for Atech’s technological advancement in the field of Electronic Warfare. This initiative reinforces our commitment to leading innovation projects in Brazil, joining forces with world-class institutions such as ITA and DCTA to promote significant technological progress aligned with market needs,” said Giacomo Feres Staniscia, Atech’s Defense Business Director.
The Rector of ITA, Professor Dr. Antonio Guilherme de Arruda Lorenzi, emphasized that this is another significant partnership for national development. “ITA has a long history of strategic activities involving various external stakeholders, such as industry and government representatives. Through this partnership, we aim to continue contributing – with education, research, innovation, and outreach – to the strengthening of Brazil’s capabilities in Electronic Warfare, further driving the country’s progress,” he stated.
