Aselsan Supplies Best-in-Class Solutions

RCWS for Ground and Maritime Operations

Aselsan, a global technology company headquartered in Turkey, makes significant contributions to safety and quality of life for people all over the world. The company plays a constructive role in meeting the requirements of a broad range of end users, supplying best-in-class solutions ranging from off-the-shelf products to highly specialized solutions for specific requirements, often developed in close cooperation with the user. From city- to national-scale security systems, through renewable energy systems to civil communication equipment, Aselsan goes the extra mile to address customer requirements directly though the establishment and implementation of joint ventures and strategic partnerships with in-country entities.

Aselsan offers a number of different types of remote-controlled weapon stations (RCWS) for the protection of borders, coasts and naval platforms. In a sparsely populated market sector, Aselsan systems are sufficiently flexible to allow for meeting specific customer requirements, as well as integration with existing platforms. The company’s high-tech RCWS provide dominance over sea and land operations; they feature independent electro-optical sensors, including thermal camera, day TV and laser rangefinder, two-axis stabilisation and automatic target tracking functions. The family of systems includes numerous weapons fit options, from 5.56mm to 30mm caliber, for both naval and land applications.

Aselsan has already delivered RCWS to a total of 19 countries worldwide. The company keeps pace with the rapid evolution of its customers’ requirements and technological progress; it stands ready to dedicate the required resources to providing the best solution in the most efficient cost/performance combination.

The Asia-Pacific region is an important one for the company, which will be presenting its innovative solutions at the biennial Defense & Security 2019 defence exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand, 18-21 November. The systems on show will include – but not be limited to – RCWS, electro-optical equipment and naval systems.

Aselsan expects significant progress in the Asia-Pacific market and will continue seeking opportunities to develop local cooperation and strategic alliances for its wide range of engineering and defence solutions.
