SDRs to be Manufactured in Kyiv
Aselsan has officially opened the doors of a new local production facility in Kyiv, Ukraine, the Ankara-based company announced on 10 October.
The Turkish defence and security electronics specialist has developed relationships with customers in more than 30 nations worldwide for its range of highly reliable integrated communications systems. Cognisant of – and reacting to – local needs and business conditions, Aselsan plays a constructive role in meeting the existing and emerging needs of customer organisations, while also contributing actively to their technology acquisition ambitions and policies wherever possible.
Aselsan has been supplying tactical software-defined radios (SDR) to the Ukrainian armed forces since 2017. In recognition and furtherance of the friendly relationship between Turkey and Ukraine, and in support of the latter’s perceived long-term needs, Aselsan’s range of SDR will now be manufactured locally in Kyiv. This arrangement will pave the way for both nations to continue to sustain a mutually beneficial relationship, with further collaboration in prospect.
The Turkish industry leader will continue seeking opportunities to develop local cooperation and to forge further strategic alliances in Ukraine for its wider range of engineering and defence solutions.
